Can someone please tell me what I should include in a letter to the editor?

i think you should pick a definite stance on the issue you're writing about, and stick to your opinion throughout. Make sure you try to justify your opinion to the editor. Use emotive language, and rhetorical questions eg "how long must we wait for the government to act" etc to give a genuine kind of feel to your letter. Maybe read a few letters in the opinion pages of the paper to give you ideas on how to write. hope that helps
