LHC and Higgs Boson (1 Viewer)

AS many people will know, over 40 years ago, "the god particle" was first proposed. Today, CERN hope to use the worlds largest machine, a particle accelerator called "The Large Hadron Colider" to find this particle. My question is does it exist and if so, will CERN find it (purely philosophical)?
