Federal Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella says she wants an unreserved apology from the Labor backbencher who made an abusive comment about her unborn baby.
Labor MP Belinda Neal initially denied telling the 36 weeks pregnant MP that evil thoughts would turn her child into a demon, but she has since withdrawn her remarks from the record.
But Ms Mirabella says Ms Neal's retraction was not a proper apology and her Labor colleagues should step in to condemn her behaviour.
"I would like at least one Labor woman in the Federal Parliament to come out publicly and say Belinda Neal is out of line, that's unacceptable behaviour and she should get counselling," she said.
"Just one woman, that's all."
