so, a few weeks ago i had this fucked up dream where i had dinner with a bunch of faceless dolls. yeah.

then yesterday, at another forum in the midst of a discussion about obscure ABC programs (the wayne manifesto, gogs, the ferals etc.) someone posted a pic from a show i vaguely remember called lift off!...

seems like this show - which i believe aired sunday morning - has haunted me unconsciously for over a decade.

anyone else remember it?

my brother had an EC doll, and lift off wasn't weird. it was great.

omg, i LOVED this show!
i had a book, and i had the EC doll. it went EVERYWHERE with me. except it draw all over its head, so now thers faded pen marks all over it, and floppy hands, as i used to spin its arms around.

Is "Lift Off" the game show with all these weird characters, or was the game show a sort of spin off of the series? I only vaguely remember a Lift Off game show hosted by Mark Mitchell aka Con...there were puzzle pieces, and one of the tasks involved copying some tune on a big keyboard using do-re-mi (?).. And there was some huge burping prop on the set, I think...?

I remember the talking backpacks now too... I used to watch lift off a lot I think, but I can't remember if I really liked it or just watched it cos nothing else was on.

I used to love the ferals! They rocked! What was it.... rattus, modigliana the bunny and that stupid dog. Good times, good times.

Couldn't EC heal people or something. I seem to remember when that little girl with the fuzzy hair was crying or sick or something EC rubbed his hand over her and healed her. Ok that sounds really suss but yeah i loved liftoff. and that blonde chik, her name was like boss or poss or something. she was mean.
