can someone please help me with the following problem, it is attached as an image as a bmp file

do you just solve the equations simultaneously? we don't do linear algebra in the hsc

i.e.

1) x - 7y + z = 0
2) -w + 6x + 9y = 0
3) x + 6y + z = 0

3) - 1): 13y = 0
y = 0

so x = -z = -t
-w -6z + 0 = 0
w = -6z = -6t
