Describe the locus of a point which moves equidistant from the points (0,2) and (0,-2)?

I've the answer, but i still don't get it. Working out will be nice THX

OK, isn't it just y=0? You can tell by looking at the graph.

Let the P be P (x,y), A be (0,2), B be (0.-2)
PA=
PB=
Therefore , and .
Expand both sides and cancel terms and you get y=0
