I need help with a question

A rectangle measures 64cm by 2cm. A process is carried out so the length of the rectangle is decreased by a third and the width is increased by a third. Find how many times the process must be carried out to produce a square.

64(2/3)^n=2(4/3)^n
32(2/3)^n=(4/3)^n
2^5*2^n=4^n
2^(5+n)=2^(2n)
5+n=2n
n=5

x^2 = 6 + 4x - x^2

2x^2 - 4x - 6 = 0

2(x^2 - 2x - 3) = 0

2(x-3)(x+1) = 0

x = -1, 3
