Hi,

I'm not quite sure where to post this, but I think here might be ok.

Anyway,

I'm looking for a desk that is quite large for my bedroom.

Table top area: approx 150cm x 79cm.

$500-$700

I would like a proper wooden table, not with chipboard or with a cheap coating/surface material. A wooden varnished desk would be excellent.

Anyone seen any around? What do you use as a desk?

Your thoughts?

I second that, but try searching for specific stores that sell furniture and the sought like Ikea.

I found my current desk sitting next the the Technical and Applied Science skip at UNSW... Its massive, and its strong, and it was free. I just had to lug it all the way back to my room.

All 1.5m x 1m of it...

I'd gladly sell it to you for $500 though! I'd probably even go so low as $400.

Freeedom!

The stuff there is beatiful! And if not there, Domayne/Nick Scali/Harvey Norman/Fantastic Furniture etc have lots of things you can use if needed.

Ikea has a nice range of stuff, if not try officeworks, they have furnitureworks too now, some nice stuff there, worth a look at.
