Has anyone else noticed how incredibly crap Lord Of The Flies is? I had to do it in year 9, and I hated it. It's so dark, and animalistic.I can easily say it was one of the worst books I have ever read. What does everyone else think?

For such a highly regarded book I didn't think much of it. The theme of kids gradually turning savage didn't hold my interest much. I wouldn't say it was "crap" though. Just not my thing.

Sorry, I just really didn't like it. It made me feel sick. I know that there are truths in the whole situation, and that peole do turn on each other like that, BUT....besdies, my mum had to do it wen she was ar school, and she's in her 50's now...it's a little outdated
