here is a sob story from a misguided little girl

I have a boyfriend - have had the same one for the past 2.5 years. This is not the problem, he is very nice, caring blah blah blah - basically a genuinely great guy. The problem is that he is an athlete and his weekends and weekdays are either playing or training for his nominated sport (he plays first grade so its not like a hobby - its his life)

ANYWAY we are both in yr 12 and schoolies is coming up hurrah!!

i was meant 2 be goin on the "schoolies cruise" with all of my girlfriends - the problem was that they booked at the beginning of the year when i wasnt sure what was going on (5 people and only 4 ppl in a room). My parents offered to fund this trip. I was excited, the day the $300 deposit was due and my bf said "dont worry we will go away together" So i made it easier for the girls and pulled out.

i also have a group of guy friends that invited me away mid-year. i could assume why my b/f didnt want me 2 go away with them (i would have been the only girl) my parents also offered to fund this trip. ANNNYWAY i assumed my bf would get his butt into action and find out the dates he can go away

i have no problem in booking and organising the trip (although i'd rather him help) All that i need is for him to give me the tour dates that he is going away and basically the draw for the sport. *i'd work out when we could both go - book and voila*

HOWEVER he has simply not "got the time" to find the dates, or tell me about them... schoolies is drawing closer and closer and i am still left without anywhere to go.l

my guy friends have again invited me to go away. im sick of bein screwed around

ADVICE PLEASE

Then dump the dick. You're a idiot if this is a crisis for you.

You obviously don't like him so fuck him off.

no no no... not a footballer... worse

a sport that goes allll day long (sometimes for DAYS at a time), is really really really boring (from my perspective) and they all wear WHITE..... and its not lawn bowls

lol the problem isnt whether to stay with him or not jumb.. its more about what am i going to do about schoolies.. i still want to go - i dont know how its gonna happen

was never gonna dump him... i think this thread has been taken the wrong way lol

and lol im not gona say coz i know what cricket players are like - they all know each other and are sneaky little buggers so once i say what club he plays for you probably find out who he is, by some means or other he would find out that his little girlfriend has been "dobbing over the internet" lol
how bout we just dnt go ther?

its not even schoolies now that i think about it.. its a holiday - a damn holiday just to get away from the stress that i've caused myself studying over the past 2 years... i dont wanna go 2 QLD or anything. anywhere would be sufficient - the entrance, the coast... anywhere with beach and water

sorri if my fustration is sounding like anger, you know what its like trying to show emotion over the internet.

just to set the record straight - its been a perfect relationship over the past 2.5 years and this is literally the closest we've come to even having a fight.

Why don't you just, you know... talk to him?

This forum seems to be turning too much into "solve my problems that my shitty gf/bf/whatever is too much of a jerk to bother doing and I'm too afraid to talk to him about it".

Yea i agree, it's all great to be proactive in getting advice however i feel there's some things that are kinda personal and better solved between two people. I can't imagine what i'd do if i found my girlfriend bitching on the net to random people about how i was doing something wrong, that i didn't know i was doing.

i have talked to him... again and again and again

each time he says "i'll get the dates to you, i'll check the draw"
"i really do want to go away with you" etc etc etc

thats the reason im on here..
im not a spineless idiot, im not afraid to talk to him - ive done it and i'll do it again.. all im askin for is some advice and whether anyones been in a similar situation or has any brain blowing idea's about what to actually do rather than *break up with him*
