For a number of years, I have contemplated about coming out and telling my parents I'm actually gay but it's been hard.

Back in high school, I overheard my mum talk to my dad at night about how she thought I might be gay.
"Well, I hope not" was what my dad said.
From that day on, i knew i couldnt come out because of what my dad said.

Recently, my dad has been using my computer because his is in repair. Last week, I came home to find my dad reading my msn chat logs with my boyfriend and I feared he might have found out about me being gay.

So last night, i went and downloaded some straight porn and played it at a volume loud enough so my dad could hear when he walks past my room at night with the door closed. I flopped out my dick and waited for him to come in to check what i was doing.

JUST AS PLANNED, he came in and i frantically tried to close the video however unable to so and pulled up my pants although that was a mere act.

What should my next move be to consolidate to my dad that I'm NOTT gay?

Grow some balls FFS just come out. If he cares about you he'll just accept it and love you nonetheless (just hopefully not too much).

like you said they've probably had their suspicions all along. i highly doubt your father catching you viewing porn one night is going to dismiss everything. for all he knows you could have been batting over the guy - which you probably were.

What will be the long term benefit of convincing your father that you are straight? Presumably you'll have to come out to him eventually, unless you want to live your entire life in secrecy/celibacy.

Hahaha

Dont come out man. Think of the investment your parents put into you. If you come out, it's finished between you and them.

Meet a nice fat girl, give the rents some grandchildren and struggle with your demons privately. I agree with other bosers; you'll eventually realise that you have to live life for yourself. But dont mistake this for a need to inflict this appauling damage upon your family and yourself.

Please don't listen to Iron. He is a terrible human being who thrives on arrogance and bigotry under the guise of universal love and hope.

First of all, none of this is real.

But if we take the troll post at face value, all we know is that his dad suggested he might be disappointed at his son being gay.

Many parents feel this way, but when their children come out, they learn to accept it. This process would actually be a good thing for the father.
I dont think that any parent can truely accept it. If they do, you're mistaking it for them not caring about that child to begin with.

How serious is your father's dislike of gays?

My friend was threatened to be thrown out on the street if she saw her girlfriend again.

Make sure you're prepared for what might go down imo.

Hero, your parents have watched you grow up and trust me, they are able to realise their children's sexuality sometimes even long before they (children) have. I think your mother is well-aware and so is your father, although in himself he is battling to accept it (hence checking msn logs for physical proof).
The best thing to do would be to come out. Not only will you be so relieved and finally free to be yourself, but your parents will realise the trust you are placing in them and finally speaking honestly.
For all those people who posted derogatory language about homosexuality, please, get over it. Personally, I find it very interesting, the concept of it. I think it's because I'm straight and I don't quite understand it but if I were gay, I'd be proud of it.

Don't try to live under a facade, your parents will love you for who you are :)
Everyone has rights to have rights and be who they are. Good luck! x

It's painfully obvious you dont have the slightest fucking idea what you're saying.

OP, you're just delaying the inevitable. Tell them or they're just going to find out anyway. Your choice.

You find the concept of us interesting? I wasn't aware that I was a philosophical theory.
