I really wouldn't know, I think Selwyn is some guy from Perth who thinks he can sing, and the only reason he made it through the thin net of Australian commercialism is because of his "qt" looks.

Damn, alright when we get married i have to do the washing up cause i dont know the 'cotton sox' comment!! ANd i thought i was the biggest fan.

400 miles from Darwin was originally recorded as a b-side minue all the strings on the single of Melbourne.

All right, since you asked an impossible question i will ask you one, what is my favourite whitlams song?

Oh and we really need to figure out the music for the wedding soon, everyone except the nelly ja rule can join in.

Billy, whats going on with your band? I looked at the web site, very pretty. How did the meeting go.

Oh and for all the people saying stop the whitalms stuff WHITLAMS WHTLAMS WHITLAMS WHITLAMS WHITLAM WHITLAMS

All the great rappers write their own music, only pop singers like frkn 98 degrees, and five have songs written for them.

I hate them soo much

O.K Smegger, look I dont know about you being a die hard fan, I mean you dont know the cotton sox comment?
O.K I am going to be truthfull here I went to teh back of LTC and got a comment Tim said wich is as follows:'Carmel, the FOW bless your cotton sox'.
O.K now for your answere, well I know that I am a fan of the old whitlams, eg, introducing and I love love this city but id have to say that underniably is my favourite album. Maybe you like something of that, maybe 'buy now pay later'?
I could be wrong but I like that song alot.
Although I think that maybe you dont have a particular favourite because there are so many good songs.
O.K Well for our wedding music:
We have to do the bridal waltz to something by the whitlams, of coarse. And I only know that you have to do a bridal waltz because my brother got married a couple of days ago. Go Mike!
Anyway something slow, possably 'Make the world safe'? what do you think?
and of coarse we have to play, Louis berdett!!!!
thankyou
Jeff
p.s I will do the dishes it o.k.

I'm a music geek (as opposed to a studying geek) and hence I could very well list about 200 artists I absolutely love. But as that would only be entertaining for me, I won't.
My favourite bands would be TISM, Machine Gun Fellatio and Karma County. For chilling, nothing beats Ben Harper or maybe LA Woman or Waiting For The Sun by The Doors. For studying, classical is the way to go, with Bach a particular favourite (check out Solo Piano in F Minor, it's bloody good. From the Traffic soundtrack). Recently I've been listening to a lot of Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright, Nick Drake, and so on. Love it.

Hey, you didnt leave me a question!
My favouriteset song is an old one, we really are soul mates, i like the old stuff better too, 'where is she' from Introducing. I also love Charlie no 1.

I say yes a lot of times to Make the World Safe for You, its soo beautiful, But if for some reason the cd wont work The Lights are Back On from the new album is beautiful. And we definelty have to play Louis, just to see my nanna's face when its says 'all my friends are fuck ups.' We also have to play all there fun songs, like I Get High, Woody, I Make Hamburgers and inapropriate stuff like that.

Maybe we should take it in turns of washing the dishes. Or maybe Tim will come to the wedding and give us a dishwasher as a wedding present then getting really pissed and have sex with all the bridesmaids. And me, depending on how you feel abou the whole situation.

Alright, i am keeping the questions going cause if you dont get enough points we cant get married. Alright, this is really hard. Why is the Whitlams old tour bus famous?

well thanks for havin a look at the website....even though it hasn't been updated since January...

So we had another meeting with the owner of Risky Records on Friday afternoon. Basically they are a small company that takes relativily unknown artists like us, works with them and pays for a really high-quality demo that they then shop around to managers and major labels...

Essentially he really loves the overall sound and atmosphere of our music. However he wants me to structure my songs better, in a way that listeners would be guided through the song. In fact the best way I can describe it is this. In terms of structure its the difference between old something for kate and echolalia. Pinstripe or Captain don't really have a lot of structure whereas Three Dimensions for example does...they were both really good but which was more successful??

The problem right now is that 2 out of 3 of us are doing our HSC at the moment so we just don't have enough time to concentrate as much as we would like to on the band. We really only have time to get together once a week.

I showed him a couple songs I've written recently that are a bit more structured and he wants us to notate and record them for him so once we've done that we will meet with him again.....we just don't have enough time to do that stuff with trials coming up...

If it wasn't for the damn HSC things would be moving a lot faster.

I just downloaded Flake by Jack Johnson, featuring Ben Harper, and it's bloody good. Apparently he's friends with Ben Harper, so that automatically makes him alright in my books.
Sounds like a bit of a cross between Ben Harper and Ryan Adams. And there's nothing wrong that.

Exactly! If you haven't heard it yet, download it.
Ben doesn't do a lot, just a bit of slide guitar, which is always good (especially in the intro to 'Power Of The Gospel.' One of the best intros to a song ever).
Ben is also in good form in 'Brainwashers' by Blackalicious. Check that out.
