generally people take pictures of things they are passionate about

totally, the grey slabs are gross but the green makes up for it

wtf have they done to the library? what's the ugly plastic crap they have put when you walk into the library and down the stairs to level 1? i'm sure they could get something nicer happening, even if it cost more

Those ugly grey concrete slabs are actually heritage listed. They were designed in the sixties in the 'Brutalist' style, and were considered the epitome of architectural achievement! Apparantly the Buildings and Grounds department of the University is really narky, and won't even let groups put up banners on the walls!

Nice photos AsyLum.

Haha yeah, the only way to make it look somewhat decent was to edit the pics a bit, some have a slight motion blur on them to 'artisticise' them (or hide the fact its only a 3.2 megapixel camera) and so yeah forgive that aspect :)

The photos were taken around 5pm, and i usually wait for a while to get the chance to take the photos. Id do one with people in it, but legal responsibilities and whatever really worry me in case someone complains and i dont want to be held responsible for such things :)

I'll probably wait til holidays and take my DSLR out to do some photography.
Is the media room and photography lab opened in the holidays?

Cheapest DSLR now is $1000, the Canon 300D. Thats on Ebay. Ever since the 350D came out the 300D price has dropped quite a bit.

I wish they loaned out cameras at the media room.
