MAFW is an industry only event, made accessible to registered buyers, media and other fashion industry representatives.

This year, MAFW celebrates 10 years of presenting the Spring Summer collections of Australia and the Asia Pacific's best designers to some of the world's most significant buyers, media and key industry influencers.

Located at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on the spectacular Sydney Harbour, the five-day official schedule includes on-site and off-site Collection Shows, a dedicated on-site agents area - Agent Suites @ MAFW and our exclusive boutique exhibition - The Source @ MAFW.

But you only get freebies if you're a volunteer or (by some freak of chance) are sitting in the two front rows.

Thought it might be as much. I did a thread on this last year, same "enthusiastic" response.

Well, Vogue Girl was terrific, we got freebies there too.

MAFW was fantastic too to say the least. I was in just one show, but I don't mind since it was my first time on a major catwalk, but I got to sit in 3 shows!

OMG, and the after parties!

I had a friend who volunteered.

She told me that all the models were up themselves and all the co-ordinators were bitchy. She quit after the first day.

Having said that, she got the uniform for free (some coral t-shirt, and a pair of Lee supatubes) and managed to smuggle out a fuckload of fashionassassin clothes. It's surprising how many minis and singlets she managed to cram into a green woolies bag. So i guess it all evens out.

Um no. Not really. We had one for Lisa Ho, it said stuff like - you're gorgeous, beautiful, rich, etc - because the theme was set on rich people, luxury, etc - so they make you think like that before you go on so you kinda look like it too.

Bitch feeding, really.

We got freebies there too.
My friend went to the earlier one, and she got some clothes for free - but she said that that was only for about the first 10 people that went in!
