l have fair skin, and l had a dark purple dress..l'll try and find a picture of myself. I had eyeshadow to match the dress colour, a nice lipstick that was red and put a bit of blush on.

Jess - go to grace bros or david jones and get one of the makeup counters to do ur makeup for you or ask their opinion because its hard to advise from the net...

I also have really fair skin, and i had a dark blue dress. I just had dark eyeshadow and a bit of blush (and some foundation which made me less ghostly) and some light coloured lipstick. If you're fair, the darker your eyes, probably the better... :)

yeah..i was thinking of going for a clear look on my face (you know, where you have an inch of makeup, but it looks like .1 of an inch) and smoky eyes...sound good?
im getting it professionally done, so i'll have to ask the artist when i go there.

that's a great pic Sarah :)

and like Timmii said, it is easier to get a prof. opinion. You could get your makeup done at a place like DJs as well, um i'm sure if they are in Newcastle but places like Mac and Chanel do makeovers, ranging in price anywhere from $40 upwards, but that is redeemable if you purchase a product

my dresses this years are black and aqua...i'm fairly tanned, and i'm having minimal eye makeup but stronger lip colour. How are you girls doing your hair? For my black outfits i'm having my hair mostly up, and aqua dress i'm having my hair out
