So does anyone here have any tips for making friends for living on campus?

well its a whole new experience and don't really know what too expect.....so yes.

1. go to class
2. sit next to someone
3. introduce yourself
4. talk about stuff
5. when class starts, pay attention
6. after class, ask if they have a break and want to hang out. if not, ask if you can add each other on FB

Will you be living in a dorm or a single occupant room?

I would suggest leaving the door open in the first few weeks when you're around. Also you could knock around and introduce yourself to people on your floor. If you're too shy to do this, drink some alcohol to loosen yourself up.
