Yeah you wont have time for any electives until perhaps your last semester.

Just follow the cores, and make sure you put them all in if you want to get out in the quickest time possible, otherwise, electives ahoy!

I got the timetable planner sheet, but theres a problem, how can i fill in 30 cp of subjects in two semesters, (5 in each) if they only give me four slots to write them in? and in the bottom it says i must have greater than 14 cp in each semester?

BTW, B appfin/eco is a four year course, just because it says level 3xx doest it mean i ahve to do it in the third year? or can i spread them into the fourth year?

This is what i got planned for first year

ACCG100 - core of appfin
ECON 110 - core of appfin and economics
ACST101 - core of appfin
STAT170 - core of appfin and economics
COMP115 core of appfin

second sem:

ACCG101 - core of appfin
ACCG105 - an option for appfin but chose this to fill in gap
ECON111 - core of appfin and economics
ECON141 - core of appfin and economics
ISYS114 - core of appfin

total 30cp, 10 units drawn from the all the core topics of both APFN03 and ECOS02 study pattern programs, is this ok?

It looks like you got 1 too many subjects for both semesters there. And I'm not completely sure but:

I think you only pick one of ISYS and COMP (ISYS114 should be easier as it's just database systems).

You have no elective to fill so get rid of ACCG105. Anyway a) You can't do it cos it covers similar things as ACCG101 and b) Of all the units that Macquarie offers, ACCG is not one you would want to do by choice as a one-off first year elective.

So yeah, I think you confused the OR, and read it as an 'AND'. And I think you'll find it says you can only have a MAXIMUM of 14 credit pts per semester. If you want to overload (>14) you'll need special permission.

I think you're only meant to follow one program (not two programs) of study, ie. the one you're enrolled in. You shouldn't have that many core units, as G2G pointed out, there are overlaps.

Incompetence on behalf of the students at enrollment can lead to disqualification from attending the University of Maquarie.
