Man convicted for trying to run over bin Laden (1 Viewer)

Montpellier, France-AP -- A man in France has been given a suspended jail term and a fine -- for trying to run over a pedestrian he thought was Osama bin Laden.

The man is identified as a struggling artist. His lawyer says the man was traumatized by the bombings in Spain last week -- and was hallucinating when he spotted the pedestrian.

The victim managed to run away from the oncoming car and avoid injury.

The lawyer says the pedestrian obviously wasn't bin Laden -- or his client would have won a very big bounty.

Yeah, last I heard the bounty was like twenty million US. But what the hell would bin laden be doing in France, I mean he's probably still hiding in his cave.
Though this incident does show how paranoia is spreading. I wonder if the bloke had a beard and turban, or else the driver juts had really bad eye sight
