Hey im doing a certificate IV in marketing through tafe and i want to go uni after i finished. has anyone done this and can u please advise me of the marks needed or how to get in? thanks

I did a Cert IV and an Advanced Diploma in Business Marketing with Credit averages and I got into B. Commerce at UoW. (81 UAI) I got a 70 UAI in the HSC.

Although, I know of someone who got in the 60s for their UAI with a pass average at TAFE and they got into UoW.

hmmm so how long do you have to go to tafe before you can transfer?

It's difficult to say, if you receive just under the UAI, you could go to TAFE for one semester, apply mid-year and could 'possibly' get a place. But usually, if you do a Diploma (one year) or an Advanced Diploma (one and a half years) receive very good marks you 'could' get a place and if you do you would get anywhere up to 48 credit points of specified or unspecified exemptions from the Commerce degree.
