Hi, everyone!

I'm currently in year 12 right now and I just finished my first HSC assessment task (maths 2u).

It is out of 45 and I already lost 5 marks after checking the answers with my friends, which is quite sad...

So, I want to know if I get about 80ish for all my maths exams including HSC exams, will the marks scaling up? Or band 6? What happen if I get 90 in my HSC exams and all other exams is 80ish.

And what marks I need to get for band 6 maths adv?

Please help!! Thank u.

It really depends on how difficult your school exams are and how they are moderated.
a raw mark of low 80's (like 83-84) will usually align to a 90 for the hsc exam which is a band 6and your internals will probably moderate up depending on how your cohort does. aim for mid 80's if you want to be sure, 90's would guarantee a band 6.
You can't really tell about you school marks but if your school is half decent at maths then your internals will moderate up, but mid 80's would almost definitely get you a band 6.
