apparently all mars bars and snickers are being recalled! its just been extended to all retail stores in NSW. i thought i'd never see the day my fave chocolates would be off the shelf. all becuase a few bars were contaminated.

so, now it's unsafe to eat either mars bars or snickers bought in NSW.

A state-wide recall for a mere 7 mars bars that have been contaminated (allegedly). As serious as the issue may be, I cannot help but think that the reaction is slightly over the top, even though it's a fair precaution to take.
cheers for the article.

and yes, it is a bit over the top to recall of all the chocolate bars over an unconfirmed threat.

If there Is a legitimate threat, and somebody gets sick because they did not recall their product, then the company that produces the product would be sued for what would probably be the cost of the recall, Plus there would never be any more consumer confidence in their product.

I love how it is saying to destroy the bars rather then take them back for a refund :p

Tests showed it had been contaminated with an unidentified substance.
Since then the company has received three threatening letters, the latest arriving today, in which the author claims to have contaminated seven Snickers and Mars bars in the Sydney metropolitan region, police said.
Maybe someone finally caught on that their bars taste like shit?
