I wanted Sparta :(

The Mars Volta return in support of their third album Amputechture. Amputechture signals a change for The Mars Volta; this is their first album without a unifying narrative.

TOUR DATES:*
Tue 28 Nov - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Thu 30 Nov - Brisbane Convention Centre

Tickets on sale Thu 21 Sep, 9am

I've seen them 3 times, and I'll never see them again.

All times were utterfly frustrating, when I wanted music and entertainment, they gave me 10 minutes of one single note, which is apparently skill.

Of course elitist fans will tell you otherwise. Meh.

Atticus.

how do i get out of this

And their sideshow the day after. I was the person who recorded their sideshow, there's a torrent of it floating around the net. Or on comatorium, or whatever it's called.

Um, you do realise that Omar writes everything except for the drumming. Most likely, he was the most important part of The Mars Volta.......

I got my ticket. Seventy bucks that i aint got, but still.

yeah i do know that.

but i found the most interesting part of the mars volta was the drumming. omar may have written all the music............but in my opinion the drums were most important in driving the songs. and jon theodore was an awesome drummer.

I'm there... postponed til March unfortunately. And no offence to anyone, but why do people keep on with these comparisons between TMV and Sparta? They're two different bands with two different sounds. No more 'I wish it was Sparta' posts.

Again, no offence, I'm just pointing out that it's time to accept the fact that they're not associated with each other anymore. Thanks.
