I think you can take another approach as well by using the fact that sinh(x)=[exp(x)-exp(-x)]/2 and swapping the x for a lnx but yea your answer seems to simplify to the same one i got which is 0.5 +0.5x^-2

Hmm, yeh, the book has that answer as well.

But let's say I received this question in the exam. Would I lose marks if I used my method?

(Just to be on the safe side I will probably use the other approach, but I'm just curious if I would lose marks.)
