Theres actually a lower one. You can do it now and complete math1131 during summer or something.
Which creates a problem because you can't progress further in your program because you haven't done 1131 yet and don't meet the pre-reqs for your other subjects. 1131 is the pre/co req for alot of courses.

Don't knock Peter Brown. Best tutor I've had at uni, with possibly one exception / tie. He's in charge of recruiting new tutors, so he'll probably have given your tutor a quick check to make sure they can explain at least reasonably.

He also wrote most of the 4u maths exam last year. And for the last few years, I think...

I have to agree. Peter Brown is one of the better maths lecturers around for first year.

He runs cram lectures several days before exams for students (he doesn't even get paid for that). Goes through everything you need to know in 2 hours.

Hmmm so far i reckon it's allright.
We started off with complex numbers.. which was the first topic in 4u maths back in high school.. so far so good.
doubt it'll be as hard as 4u though.
after all there r a lot of pplz who didn't even do 3u.
i would say it'll be on a level that's equivalent to 3u or slightly harder.

yeah, 1131 is about on par with 3u. they do move a lot faster though, and you have to do your own study...

Yes. He is. Yu should see my friend fire up when somone mentions him ...

Hirshhorn (don't spell it wrong, he'll kill you. That's something Hirshhorn said, and you should never forget what your maths teacher tells you) is a great tutor who I had the pleasure of having for both Discrete and Finite Maths ...

she doesnt even know the difference between range and domain and didnt know how to sketch simple functions

when we had her on monday, the whole class was shaking their heads in dismay at her crapness
