For the second image you can actually derive the formula of the new curve in terms of x and y quite easily if you let z=x+iy.

Otherwise, plot more points like Xayma said.
I found it was easier using polar coordinates...

First image, yes.

Second image, if you use x+iy, you can get the formula for the image of the lines PQ and QR. For RP polar is easier.

Another way of doing it is dividing triangle PQR into the lines PQ, PR and QR.. and expressing them in terms of z = x + iy, and placing restrictions on x and y.

Good luck

lol i can't remember anything from the hsc
and the lectures are at 8am so i miss half

i can do all of question 1 and 2
i just don't understand this drawing thing

i tried splitting up into QP QR and RP
finding the point say Q which is -1+i
subbing it into w=e^iz
and u get like 1/e^(1+i)

htf do u plot that?

wen i don't ceonceptually understand something, i just have no chance
wtf is going on wen u are changin that triangle and turning all the points in e^iz

so e^iz = e^-ycisx

how can u use the x coordinate from z plane and just turn it into the arg considering the x coord might be like 1 or -1/2

really asmt shouldn't all be that hard...
the real stress shud be in quiz + exam...
if u'd have 100% confience in asmt, u'd at least get 80%...
