i found the exam significantly more challenging than previous years, as had nearly everyone in my fairly large cohort

Personally, Im happy the last question was tough, allowing me to focus on other parts. Hopefully 5 for q 15 and 80 raw

Btw, e4 cut off predictions? Taking into account it was 74 for the 2014 hsc, i would say mid 60s

Yeah you probably have a much better idea of the consensus then, with a larger cohort.

this was so hard wtf yall think it was easy ? how lmao....im looking at about 55% raw what will this come back as a hsc mark as? i skipped almost all of 16 and 15

Probably in the 80's, mid 80's I'd guess.

No idea why that ellipse textbook question was there. Probably easiest 4 marks of the entire test.

One reason they ask Q's like that I think is because they want to try and ensure that everyone gets at least some marks.

Interesting that they chucked a combinatorics problem in Q16 when they did that last year (to be fair, the problems were quite different though).
From a quick glance it seems like the paper only started to get interesting at around q15
