I agree - it really depends on like how much you are able to learn and study and memorise (or wateva other method u have) and for some ppl its 2 hours and others 5-6 hours

exactly. and i emphasise the "if ur shit" lol :)

even so, 5-6 hrs of work is still heaps man! keep a constant 3-4 hrs of work, and ur in for a 95 (average intelligence) to a 99(one or two standard deviations above average IQ).

like i hav this friend, hes proof bludgers succeed. he full bludged during hsc but hes one of those smart bludgers and he managed a 91. not very high but considering the fact that he war3 / cs during his stuvac / hsc exam period, thats fucking impressive imo.

Maths for me is one of the easiest subjects, cos everything likeclicks in place. I'd say that once uv'e got your fundamentals set, like algebra, geometry and shit, your basically set. I got 99% for both 2u and 3u maths in the half yearlies, but It took a load of work to get it. Also, English is not my strongest point. In year 10 I was comming nearly last in the course, but after I put a lot of work into it, I'm comming equal second at the moment.

Basically, anything is possible if you put your back into it, learn from your mistakes, as mistakes can only make you stronger.

Oh and One Tip. Maths is just practice, practice and more practice. Peace...

Why bother doin hard subjects if UAi is based on rank???

I've always been wandering why dont smart people just do easy subjects such as hospo, bstudies, geography and get top ranks in it instead of doing chem, physics etc and getting moderate rankings??

Do subjects really matter that much??

cos if they r truly smart they can get top ranks in proper subjects like the ones u mentioned :p

subjects matter: factors such as whether ur interested in a subject u do, and how it scales, both affect how well u do in the end. i guess u gotta find a balance between these two main factors.
