Reading? LOL! Especially in ACST.

Um... I'd recommend readin' Mathematics (First Year, of course), Economics (if you can get you're hands on the Textbooks), Accounting even. Of course, most of us don't get around to reading them... well, I don't at least, they're too boring. :p

Well, in many senses 'yes'. Because I found having some HSC Economics as background made understanding Lectures and concepts alot easier to start with. Of course, if one reads the Prescribed Textbooks and Other Readings, they won't have much of an advantage because there is a great deal of new stuff.

Very true... even from a First Year's perspective. Because if do decide to do ACST, you'll appreciate holidays where you can do nothing at all.
That's why I want to do some reading at holiday, I don't want to be very hard at the other 9 months.

Economics at UNSW is different from Economics at MQ.

(I should also mention I knew people who did do Economics for the HSC and they failed their First Year Economics units last semester at MQ.)

come on, tell me where I can get some textbooks?
I'd probably suggest find First Years who are willing to sell you their textbooks... or you can buy them from the Co-op bookstall at MQ (without a discount until you enrol).
