ok guys got this problem part one requires you to show the area is

A= x/2 [squareroot (25-x^2)]^1/2

i can get that but i cant differentiate this and solve for when the first derivative = 0. would someone be able to show how its done?

thats what you have to differentiate then find the max x value

got the answer by any chance. And are you sure theres a square root + power of another 1/2?

yeh sorry i realised it was hard to understand. so i used the equation thing to make it clearer
