hey guys, just wondering if MBBS students get paid for doing hospital rotations? I really want to do MBBS but it would be difficult not having any income for 6 years other than a casual or part time job.

Yeah as fatboi said, your a medical student - you pay to study and attain your degree.

So no, you don't get paid during your hospital rotations / clinical placements.
You only begin earning money once you've graduated (5-6 years) and your an intern.

I know plenty of people who part time with clinical rotations, it can be done.

I really hope this isn't a factor in your decision to try for med.

you can definitely work while doing clinical rotations. but mostly only on weekends and nights except for a few rotations which may require you to do overnighters e.g. ED, OBGYN, paeds etc

Work night hours. You get paid pretty decent. That's what what one my relatives did when he did his MBBS at USYD.
