this should be pretty easy but we've just started the topic and hmm yea, i need help

Q:
A particle of mass 7g is moving to the left on a horizontal line with velocity 5 metres per second. A constant force, directed to the right, is applied to the particle for 30s, the velocity then being 55m/s to the right. Find the applied force.

F = dp/dt = m*dv/dt
dv/dt = (55-5)/30 ms^-2 = 5/3 ms^-2
F = 35g/3 (units of mass)ms^-2
