Can someone plz explain how to do question 7 b) ii) and iii) of this trial paper:

i was thinking the downward velocity would less than initial velocity since there will only be the resistive force against the particle when it is falling.

with this question, do we need part ii to do part iii. or can we do part iii and then get the answer to part ii.

I believe question intends you to do part ii before iii - although there is nothing to stop you from doing part iii first, work backward if necessary, and do part ii as though you did it first.
