im a bit confused here, can someone please explain to me an issue about circular motion in a horizontal plane (7.4 of cambridge). For reaction forces, how do u know when N(normal force) is perpendicular to the surface and when its at an angle. I have always known that the normal force is always perpendicular to the surface . For example figure 7.15 shows that the normal force is equal and perpendicular to the surface while in example 8, the normal force is at an angle to the surface
