and also do we need to know media types? It's not specified in the syllabus I don't think...

* By the 1980s the influence of Christianity had evidently declined.

*There was a 36 % increase between 1991-1996 in the number of Australians saying they had 'no religion"

*The reasons for this include
- People feel that it is a private matter.
-State and church separated; therefore there is no need to state what religion one adheres to.
-People identify themselves with no religious tradition. In fact the Aust.values study survey (1983) revealed that 41% of Australians were not religious.
-Fear of persecution


As for Media types: it won't hurt to know them, there are only 4
