Also, which university would you prefer to study medicine/dentistry, and why?

UNSW, because its kinda my "local" med course .
But Really I'd Rather go to Uni of Newcastle, have lots of friends there and the degree is a year shorter (plus UAI requirement is less haha)

What attracts you to medicine/dentistry?

Basically all the corny stuff
Half way through year twelve i severly broke my leg which meant i had to stay in hospital for a while. I loved the place, everyone just doing thier best to save lives and make people better. I need to be a part of that.

4. Applying to dentistry rather then medicine? applying for both... but i don't really want to do medicine. i'd love to do dentistry.

Also, which university would you prefer to study medicine/dentistry, and why? want to study dentistry at either Usyd or Griffith (preferably Usyd, despite the 7 years); whole family went to Usyd, plus i feel you get better accreditation in a way. med at UNSW.
What attracts you to medicine/dentistry? nothing really attracts me to medicine... with dentistry, i'd like to be an orthodontist one day, so that's the first step.

lol my friend from ruse tell me that the ppl from his skool went to the medentry training day in their school jerseys, did anyone see them

Doing UMAT this year and the medentry course. I get exactly 7/10 on every drill section. Is this retarded? other medentry people please tell me.
i have no idea why you'd want to do dentistry. ew..

i dun do drill sections??? WTF are they

but on practice questions, i wuld normally get 8 or 9 out of every 10 right (tbh i dun keep count)
but i have no idea of the relative difficulty of drill exercises, and practice questions =S

Hey Guys,

Im a recent graduate from uni and graduated with a woeful GPA of 4.5. I wasnt really into my course and actually had alot of other crap going on thus the performance wasnt outstanding. My question is I want to do dentistry now and its something I actually want to do...how do I go about lifting my GPA etc? Any advice will be great!

i have like 10 F2F papers, but didnt go to the prep course itself - is the actual course reeeeally that important? i really want to know this coz...all i have is practice exams

ive done the blue and green acer books..need to lift my marks

ill be going for UNCLE first up coz its closer and easier, i know ppl there in med year above me for help and to split rent with....
and.....if i have to UWS

trying to stay positive about umat whilst battling constnat onslaught of anatoy exams at the moment is proving difficult haha
its exciting, yet scary....but soo cool to think about ha

Wooz, the difficulty of the practice test and actual umat, differ greatly?

The actual test is much harder and contains a greater scope/range of styles of questions for each section than what is in the practice booklets.

unsw all the way!- rural entry fingers crossed to get in....
will probs end up having to do post grad- but trying my best to get into undergrad anyway.
