Hey, I'm in Year 11 and am considering doing medicine or psychology for my HSC. The thing is, I am going really bad in maths, and I don't want it to affect my ATAR (I obviously need a high ATAR for medicine). Should I drop maths and pursue psychology in university, or continue with maths and do medicine? I understand that this is a strange and demanding question, so tips would just be fine too. Thanks

If you're doing bad at maths then drop it - it won't help your ATAR in this case.

you don't need math for medicine, or you could drop to general i guess

Just a heads up though, if you do choose to do psychology in uni, you will still need to do statistics courses-which is a lot of maths, so if you don't do any maths now, you will find yourself disadvantaged later on and need to be prepared to do quite a bit of catch up to do well in those courses.
