Hi all,
I've had a few questions about mentoring and whether it's worth it or not. About three years ago, a lot of bos members were mentors and the few who are still around will testify that it's a great experience.
Mentoring is a very small commitment: You have to come to a training day between 9th-13th January, and then an Orientation day the week later (ie the week before class).
Mentoring's a great chance to get involved in campus life and to volunteer, but it's also beneficial to the Mentor as a lot of paid jobs on campus recruit Mentors.
If you're interested in volunteering those two days, apply to become a mentor online here: Transition - Macquarie University
Cheers!
