ok im tryin to create a flow chart

is it homeostasis creates --> optimum conditions for enzymes --> metabolism?

well basically, homeostasis creates optimum conditions for enzymes (pH n Temp) n since enzymes dictate metabolism since they catalyse metabolic processes creating metabolic efficiency. Metabolism at an efficient rate is essential for the removal of toxic wastes and the circulation of nutrients.

yep. that seems pretty right.

just to clarify...make sure you clearly define homeostasis as the maintainence of a relatively stable internal enviornment (or what the syllabus says). lots of past papers that i've done have ask for you to define it.

can i just ask, why are u using enzymes as your homeostasis flow chart? although you're not wrong, usually ppl use other exampes, such as changes in body temp, as an example of homeostasis

Actually one of the reasons there is homeostatis is to create a suitable enviroment for enyzmes to work in, ie enzymes have an optimum temperature range or else their rate of reaction slows or even denatures. A balance must be maintained and this is where homeostatis is vital to the body. Therefore it is perfectly viable to include enzymes and homeostatis in a flowchart together.
