Does anyone on this forum like metal?
If so what bands do you like?
do you like aussie metal?
do you go to local gigs?

I like stuff like Destroyer 666, metallica, bathory, death, deicide, borknagar, emperor, carbon, zyklon, dream theater, queensryche, cynic, melechesh, slayer, testament, meshuggah, decapitated, vader, graveland, tool, astriaal, infernal method, blind guardian, in flames, soilwork, arch enemy, darkthrone, dungeon, excruciate etc.


I attent aussie metal gigs whenever i can.

metallica are still good!!!... the metal i like best is metallica, tool , apc (not really metal thou) butterfly effect, and cky.. but i prefer old metal - black sabbath etc.

Metallica, Pantera, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, In Flames (old), Opeth, some of The Haunted's stuff... There is more i could add, but their categorisation is kind of ambiguous

Anyway, those are most of the bands i like which I consider metal

Others which are kind of metal: Tool, a Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, theres probably a few I've left out

I'm not into slipknot, korn, limp bizkit that kinda shitty bands.

i do listen to heavy thrash bands. like SLAYER!!!!! testament.. voivod ect

yeah..they're not even metal..
but anyway i likes KoRn - they are the band that got me interested in rock music

Opeth, Type O Negative, Black Sabbath, Emperor, Satyricon, My Ruin, old Slayer, Children of Bodom, Guns n Roses, A Perfect Circle, etc etc, as well as many industrial artists.

I love industrial, classic metal, black metal, melodic death, thrash...the list is endless.

I aren't a huge fan of metal, but I do like Metallica (new and old), Shadows Fall, Tool (kick ass), Anthrax, Opeth and Motorhead.
I am more into rock than metal (stuff like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, AC DC, Guns n Roses)
Other bands that I really like are AFI, The Offspring, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Greenday, Grinspoon, The Living End.

Who else here hates new metal and pop punk?

I love From Autumn To Ashes, especially their new cd, it's so awesome.
The Killchoir Project is also good however they broke up recently

i'm not a huge fan of Iron Maiden. They have a few good songs like fear of the dark and 2mins to midnight and they weren't even that good.
But this is just what i think. but hey what the fuck do i know?
