That other guy got it wrong, in case it wasn't obvious...

Here's another one:

problem: you have 100 doors in a row that are all initially closed. you make 100 passes by the doors starting with the first door every time. the first time through you visit every door and toggle the door (if the door is closed, you open it, if its open, you close it). the second time you only visit every 2nd door (door #2, #4, #6). the third time, every 3rd door (door #3, #6, #9), etc, until you only visit the 100th door.

question: what state are the doors in after the last pass? which are open which are closed?

Yeah i've heard about the m&ms question before:

How are m&m's manufactured
I read in Readers Digest that the interviewer doesn't usually know how m&m's are manufactured but rather is seeing how you do in an unexpected situation. Obviously, if you said you were unsure you would not get the job.

There are also a few other interview questions, such as

Why are man-hole covers round

[/b]If you were to design Bill Gates bathroom, how would you?[/b]

etc. etc.

Well since I would be charging a 20% labour fee. With the most expensive objects money could buy ;)

True, thats one answer that i didnt actually think of. I was thinking so that they would be easy to move. I.e. if you wanted to remove a cover from its hole all you would have to do is lift it up then roll it rather than carrying it.
