How would the shorter length of Y affect its force asserted on Z ? does shorter length mean that the force exerted is smaller ? why is that ? what would happen if the length of Y is longer than Z ? please show working out. Thank you so much.

f/l formula, l indicates the common length between Y and Z. U can imagine it as 1 point affects 1 point logic. So Y only affects the 70cm parallel to it.


If y was longer than Z, the common length of Y and Z would be Z which is the shorter length.
