i hate hardcore mainly.

the whole scenester thing is beyond a joke.

most of the music sucks too.

check out darkest hour and a band called summer end they're ok hardcore bands.

generally if i wanted to listen to heavy music i listen to metal not hardcore.

anything bands that fit in the "core" genre i usually try and avoid.

thats all i'm gonna say.........because if i say anymore people get annoyed that i dont like the genre that they like.

The only hardcore band I like is IKTPQ, unless you include From Autumn To Ashes

i guess its kinda hard to draw a line between hardcore, post hardcore and metal

but this isnt about analysis of a genre. its about bands
so name drop

ashes are shit live which kinda killed it for me, but yeh their album stuff is unreal. is anyone into aussie band parkway drive

and bookie if you cant see the difference you are musically idiotic

Those band names sound scary, evil and murderous.
I don't see much difference between emo and this type of hardcore either. Aren't they both concerned with death and blood and cutting and stuff? *an assumption in reference to the band names*

the difference between a hardcore and a metal band is a metal band wouldn't make a song with a pointless breakdown so the kids can fight invisible ninjas.

to continue to name bands,

the refused. hardcore band from back in the day. when hardcore bands were punk bands that sounded angrier. now hardcore bands are metal bands that sound whiny-er.

yeah but get the refused album the shape of punk to come.

the whole genre thing is all very blurred..

*shrugs*

In Flames?
in flames are metal.

very different sound to hard core.

i'm becoming everything i've ever hated here. placing bands into genres aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

genres are pointless.
