Modern History: Unseen Essay Prep (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have an upcoming modern history task. It is an unseen essay, with 45 minutes time limit.
I'm wondering if any past students have advice on the best method to prepare?

make essay plans for the syllabus dot points that are in the topic assessed
practice writing an essay to a question - use what is in your essay plans to guide you, practice writing it in 40 mins.
when you see the question take 5 minutes to plan your essay - come up with a thesis/argument and dot down what your body paragraphs will be.
use your content as evidence to support your argument, don't content dump.

It's the Russia national study (HSC Yr 12). I have resources for the Romanovs I created last year for prelims if you would like them however!

I created a plan for every syllabus dot point (or just about) if i remember correctly - i did purposely ignore a couple and hoped I wouldn't get asked (luckily i didnt).

It seems overwhelming at first, but if you start writing some plans now it'll be really great preparation for trials/HSC. When you lay it all out the things they can ask you for national study are not too bad and widespread, a lot in Russia interconnects.

for example, this was a doc i made to link all my conflict essay plans corresponding to the dot points - it is a lot of work, modern in general is sooo much work and requires a lot of preparation so its good to start early.
