Monitor static (1 Viewer)

It's only very slight. But when the hard disk spins there is some slight static on the screen around the mouse. A blurring of the lines around the mouse pointer and other detailed parts of the screen.

I plugged it into my laptop and there was no static :\

sounds like a power interference problem, caused by your hard disk. This could be a short-circuit or something.

CRT i assume. How old?

have you demagnetised it lately? what PSU are you running?
