aeronatical inovations, i would be general with jet engine technology, eg faster more distance etc.
and i say new materials eg composites and aluminium alloys, lighter, less fuel, quicker trips and corrosion resitant, all making aerotickets cheaper

aye fakingtheday can u explain the diff between asicular and equixed grains and maybe with a diagram?

Asicular grains are small and circular, usually in normalised materials. Equiaxed are equally sized and usually in annealed materials.

I think that's right...

asicular is way off dude. Asicular is the 'grain' structure when newly forming grains are trapped between FCC that is common of austenite and BCC common of room temperature. They are long and needle like and are very hard and brittle. It's martensite.
