Can the one essay question ask about themes, prodcutions and scenes all in the one big fat essay?
Do you think a knowledge of 2 scenes is enough? And can I pull questions out of anywhere in the text or only from the scenes that I mention?
I am really screwed for Lear...does anyone know what the question is going to be?

Well last year's pretty much did (although it didn't say you had to refer to specific scenes) so I suppose the answer is yes!

When making my notes I drew up a table with interpretations along the columns (I'm doing the same ones as you) and themes down the rows, just to put in a logical form how everything relates...

You could probably pull quotes from anywhere, as long as you don't fudge and try and say they're from a difference scene. If it's a themes question, maybe you could put in your stray quotes in when you're explaining the interpretation, and the quotes from the scenes you're doing when you're discussing those scenes...
