requiem for a dream scares me off drugs- other than that i loved it.

Other than that- for disturbing movies id definitely go scarface- right from teh start a visual of a guy being killed with a saw... to the incest etc etc.

oh, and copious sbs late night movies. fucked if i know names.

Old Boy iz classy, the themez are disturbin, but thatz about it. The tongue cuttin bit ain't graphic at all, but itz effective. The main actor waz class, he will win an Oscar if he waz American. Stylish too, the hallway fight showed it.

I'm still in love wit the movie, I think it beat 2046 at the 2004 Caines Film Festival, and so it should.

It won Grand Prize of the Jury, but was only nominated for Palme D'or. My main gripe with it is that it that it cheated big time with its explanation at the end. 2046 still a superior film imo.

I haven't seen the movie of 120 days of sodom - the book made me sick to my stomach, so i really didn't need the visual. No wonder the woman in the bookstore gave me the look she did when I bought that.

Meh...It was okay not really offensive.

I'm calling out that snuff film. My mate pretty out there and I never heard him mention and his mate is into shit (I'm talking for real, he like it...alot). Tell me where I can find this "Snuff film"

Stuff with vomiting fucks with me pretty bad. People throwing up and then eating it and then throwing up and then eating it. Then throwing up and eating it.

The unknown solider, that will scar you.

Any of the BME trailers, it's about the 3 minutes of CBT, hammers, fireworks, knives, batteries etc.

As for films, blood sucking freak was pretty cool. It's the only film I've ever seen with a cage full of naked females who eat people.

Seeing really graphic stuff doesnt effect me

If i over think it and go oh wow, thats REAL, someone REALLY did that

well yeah itll mess with me a bit...

but the actual visual does nothing

usually it just numbs me and i refuse to believe it, cant really process it

it just sits there, and within i few minutes ill have forgotten about it

But i choose to stay away just because i know i should

Truth be told im damn curious about some of the horribly darker things in life, but i cant succumb to that curiosity, its just a line i cant ever cross for the sake of common decency.
Its a mental choice to watch that rubbish, why make the choice to do so?

The only movie that has ever really scarred me was about 1 minute i saw of a movie when i was really young. It had a child running across this grey field, he got shot. Close up. He died.
It was the first time in my life i was aware that there was evil in the world.
That children died.
That children were murdered.

That one scene haunts me, thinking about it still kills me.
That one scene was the worst thing i will ever see, its just all tame from there on in cuz i know it all exists now.

Pink Flamingoes (directed by John Waters) comes to mind, though it was absolutely trashy and over the top which is what I love about it.

It had the rape (with chickens) scene, a fat person with a fetish for eggs, graphic blowjob scene between mother/son (although the mother is a fat transvestite - I'm not sure if that's better or worse) and the clincher - Divine eating real dog crap, and the close-up where it's all over her teeth. Just thinking about that scene makes me want to hurl.

i watched a movie on SBS last night called 'stratosphere girl'. i didn't watch it all because it was making me heaps depressed for some reason. absolutely beautiful photography but made you realise how fucked up the world is.
but yeah, essentially it was about this belgium/german girl going to work as a 'hostess' in japan.

Oh My God...I watched that film once when I was younger....and it has scarred me for life. Cannibals eating the documentarians, REAL animals being slaughtered on screen, plenty of rape etc, realistic death scenes (especially when one cannibal is impaled on a long stick from mouth to anus).

The director was taken to court, because people suspected that the film-makers were actually EATEN ALIVE and killed on screen, due to the VERY realistic effects. However, Ruggero Deodato (director) was innocent of this. The film was eventually banned in Italy and over 30 other countries, due to its graphic nature and killing of animals.

Other crazy films include-

Salo: Or The 120 Days of Sodom (kids being raped, eating faeces etc)
Ichi The Killer
Scum
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (sickening murders...)
August Underground (closest thing to snuff)
August Underground: Mordum (closest thing to snuff)
Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood (closest thing to snuff)
Murder Set Peices
Men Behind The Sun (A cat was eaten by rats)
Irreversible
Last House On The Left
Necromantik
Gestapo's Last Orgy
Caligula
Cannibal Ferox
Mondo Cane
Faces of Death series (although most death scenes are fake..)
Traces of Death
I Spit On Your Grave
Blue Velvet
Audition
Gummo
Aftermath
Guinea Pig
Last Cannibal World
Pink Flamingo's
In the Realm of the Senses
Battle Royale
Boy's Don't Cry
Kids
Man Bites Dog
Eraserhead
The Isle
Deliverance
Gozu
Visitor Q
Baise Moi
Emanuelle in America
The Untold Story
Schramm

Yep...there's a lot of sick films out there...

Looking back on this thread now.. I was an idiot to think Oldboy was anything close to being the most fucked up movie ever. Geez, what an idiot.
