Hey!

Just wondering which uni is your first preference and also which uni you think will be most popular for this year?

1) UNSW
2) Usyd
3) ANU
4) back to UNSW :p

I think now people are starting to make more informed decisions instead of just going for the uni with highest uai cutoff.

Based on distance, convenience and good history:
1. USYD
2. UTS
3. UNSW
4. Macquarie

Since i don't have a car, travel is a big issue :uhhuh:

USyd because it's the only uni that offers Liberal Studies (not the commerce one)
In name only, in function other unis have comparable degrees - UNSW's 4 year BSc/BA is essentially the same thing as BLibStu except without the language requirement and ANU has a similar degree to these, and also MQ's BA is so flexible that you have the same level of freedom in your choice whether from the Arts, Sciences or Commerce sectors.

USYD, then UNSW. Maybe because of the prestige. I've got the impression a lot of people apply to USYD just because it's pretty and/or easier to get to by public transport, is that true? I honestly wouldn't care, but using the principle of highest-UAI-to-lowest-UAI for my preferences, since USYD is generally higher, it just happens I'm more likely to end up there.

USYD's a hole...some nice buildings which you might be lucky to have 1 class in, but the rest of it is pretty ordinary. Good transport though if you believe a bus is superior to driving.
