I guess an advantage of doin music as a subject is being able to listen to cds all day and call it 'study'.......lol. Whatever gets u upbeat, but music from the baroque period (like Bach and Vivaldi) helps u when u r studying coz somethin to do with the tempo and rythm stimulates ur brain.....haha I dunno how effective it is but we learnt that in class... Good luck everyone ;-)

I've found the Crowded House hit 'Don't Dream It's Over' to work quite well as a motivational piece. It's the organ-breakdown and conclusion, the whole Don't let them win.. part.. Rather reassuring, with 'them' being interpreted as some aspect of the HSC.

As a random note, I read an article once, how professional athletes and sports persons psyched themselves up for an event by listenin' to music. From memory, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem were among the list.

I'm was minutes ago listening to 'The Living End - Roll On', that's alright for motivation.
