(i expected seremify to create this thread, I guess I beat him to it XD)

So, what do you guys think ?

I know its just a small glimpse of the device, but oh my ! it looks so innovative and "futuristic" but in my opinion the device is useful for graphic designers and etc.

It looks really good but won't suit the average person unless for as you said designers or gamers.

I don't even think it would be suitable for gamers. That's a lot of pixels to push out, and with at best a 980M, something's gotta go. I'm expecting performance throttling for heat control.

That being said, I want that computer. I don't need it and I probably won't have much use for it. But I want it.

At first I thought it was just an iMac with a touchscreen. But that little cylinder thingy looks cool. I also would've thought it could be laid flat on the table.

But yeah, this is obviously not intended for casual users. Very much aimed at the graphic industry. Could also see office jobs using this somehow.

But. IMAGINE PLAYING CIV ON THIS.

Hahaha... I was watching the stream when it was happening. To be honest I can see this would be a bit of a niche device for designers who would make use of it, but I personally don't see it as useful for me. Maybe it's because I keep watching Linus Tech Tips but I feel like I should build my own PC next time and just have a conventional desktop PC with a big screen/etc. I was actually more interested in Surface Book now having a 965M inside which actually makes it usable as a portable gaming rig especially with the battery life. Obviously won't be 2000fps CS monster but it's enough to beat any of the current generation of consoles.

Thats what I said to myself with the surface book. To this very day I don;t detach the screen or use the pen.

ahha... I forced myself to use the pen on my SP4 but unless my company allows me to use my SP4 for work (which they don't) then I'm very rarely going to be able to use it for anything meaningful. Would be great for marking up documents/scribbling on things though.

For my SP4, I usually keep the keyboard on it. Very rarely do I take it off unless there is very limited space on the plane or table.

Finally played with one in the flesh at the MS store in Sydney. It FEELS huge even though it's only a 28" (I think) screen. The motion/arm felt stable/ Very restrictive given no upgrades possible (not even RAM/SSD). The Surface Dial was fun to use and if only it were Win 8 compatible, then I'd buy it for work since it's a great way to zoom in/pan spreadsheets (not that creative I know).
